The concept behind Owned is simple: A movie with a bunch of top notch, absolutely killer sections from some of today’s best riders, produced by some of today’s best videographers and editors. Owned was filmed over the course of 11 months at spots all over the world including Africa, Israel, Europe & North America. The riders and videographers for Owned dedicated themselves tirelessly to get one of the most amazing collections of eclectic riding styles together in one release. Alex Magallan (Sunday Bikes): filmed & edited by Stew Johnson. Alex’s style and creativity stands out in his section. Hailing from Nashville, TN, Alex comes through with tons of unique spots with some wild wall rides and fast lines. Music is “A Girl Named Go” by Cory Branan. Tom Villarreal (Madera): filmed & edited by Stew Johnson. Tom is a talented rider out of the huge Florida BMX scene. After an invite on the infamous Road Fools 18 trip, Tom was a top contender for the first ever Owned release. Tom goes big and can take a beating as well. His all street style and eye for unusual spots makes his part stand out. Music is “Pyramid of the Moon” by Maserati. Jason Phelan (Nike 6.0): filmed & edited by Will Evans, with additional camera by Dick Forne. Jason can take a hit and keep on going. Hailing from Ireland, he goes big and hard all the time with out fail, and his resulting part shows all the hard work he put in. After numerous injuries and the need to replace a failing videographer, Jason gets it done in a big way for Owned. Music is “Silly Bears” by Akron/Family. Dan Foley (Premium): filmed & edited by Terrell Gordy. Dan is currently residing in Pro-town USA (Greenville, NC), which has produced its share of professional BMX riders over the years. Dan is known for his long smooth lines on street and in the parks, and he does not disappoint. He makes everything look smooth and his riding was filmed all across the United States. Music is “Brothers” by The War on Drugs. Drew Bezanson (DK Bicycles): filmed & edited by Stew Johnson. Drew gets the final section in this video in his first full-length video part ever. Drew’s part consists of him Killing ramps and cement parks alike, as well as trails from Austin, TX, and some street spots that nobody has even considered possible to ride. Drew does it all, which is amazing seeing how his filming was cut short by a few months due to a head injury that kept him off his bike for at least 4 months of the year. Music is “The Illusion Crawls” by Danava.
